Goomyman77, commonly referred to as Goomy, is a Eastern politician. He is one of two leaders of Goomnest, the other being ((editor note: Plasma, check full name & link)). Goomy created the keystone nation of the Eastern continent, Goomlandia, in which he ousted his co-ruler Disho and led as an autocrat, and has since grown the organization through recruitment and moral-interventionist diplomacy. He led a merger with Voidnest, reestablishing the uniquely-Goomian diarchy with their former leader Plasma.
Foreign Policy
Goomy's mainstay of foreign policy is a kind of moral interventionism. Goomy maintains close ties with as many nations as possible and often declares a vested interest in ensuring smaller nations aren't "pushed around". To that effect Goomy's policy tends to be to intervene in conflicts across the world, even those which are purely domestic, often going as far as to conduct diplomacy on behalf of the smaller state. This, on one level, ensures that the smaller nation isn't pushed around thanks to the size and might of Goomnest, but also serves to bring unwitting smaller nations into the Goomnestian political sphere and align the state as well as the conflict's outcome with Goomnestian interests. Thanks to this system, Goomy's nations' political sphere is forever growing and arguably encompasses almost every non-Sylvian state.
Domestic Policy
Goomy rivals only FlyingGMM in terms of national development. Under Goomy's command, the East has grown extensive road networks, several metropolitan areas (most notably Bageltown), fortresses, a library, and other various public works.
Goomy's major domestic policy is the "job program." This program is voluntary, but many Goomnest members have signed up. There are several jobs to choose from- some, like Builders and Infrastructure Engineers, build things for the nation. Others, like Miner, Farmer and Lumberjack, harvest natural resources and donate a third of it to the Goomnest treasury. This reserve of various items allows Goomy to both have a reserve fund in case of conflict and also prevent trade with unaligned nations by simply giving the resources free of charge to his members rather than feed economic activity to his rivals.
Immigration has historically been very welcome under Goomy's reign. Goomnest had for much of its history staggeringly outnumbered any other nation in population as a result.
