In the beginning Néreisar rose,
Out of the dark place, And waited forever Until the darkness spat out Another child, Sjálfhrósar, fiery in temper Who thought himself strong, And would always tell Nonsense of strength no thought for cunning in his mind.
Buried in the dark, Jǫrðar nearly died, But was pulled out by a god, the end. Now, Jǫrðar distrusted both of the old gods, So made it easy to see either of them. He was forever high-strung. But when the brothers began the fight, Jǫrðar was blind to the first blood drawn.
So Sjálfhrósar toppled endermen. Angry thoughts led to evil deeds. And Néreisar broke, so the moon rose And Sjálfhrósar burnt, so the sun rose And Jǫrðar, between both, bled out the blue sea. When the dying gods saw the sadness on their worlds, They swore to each other, to never war until time ends. |
